Low Carb Salad Recipe

If you are on a diet and need some low carb recipe to support your diet plan then hope these recipes are helpful.

The first recipe is the worldwide known one. But, you'll miss the croutons in this variation. Of course, you will get paid for all this painful sacrifice ;), think about your diet first, OK? Eggs included for your protein intake.

 

 

Low Carb Caesar Salad

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 can anchovies (use oil)
  • 1 tbsp. mustard
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 juice from 1 lemon
  • 2 cooked eggs
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • Romaine lettuce

Directions:

  • Mix with romaine.
  • Serve with grated cheese of choice.
  • Black pepper to taste.
  • For 4 servings.

The next recipe is the low carb version of the one that you have already known.

Low Carb Seven Layer Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 head crisp lettuce; finely shredded
  • 1 red pepper chopped (can use orange or yellow)
  • 1 bunch celery, chopped
  • 1 large or 2 small red onions, diced
  • 1 carton grape or cherry tomatoes (slicing optional)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp. sweetener
  • 6 oz. grated cheddar cheese
  • 8 strips cooked bacon, crumbled

Directions:

  • Mix mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth.
  • Arrange lettuce on bottom of a large glass bowl (so everyone can see how good it looks).
  • Next, layer peppers then celery, onion and tomato (you can interchange these layers if you wish).
  • Spoon sour cream mixture evenly over the veggies. Sprinkle sweetener evenly over sour cream mix. Sprinkle top with cheese and crumbled bacon.
  • Cover tightly with foil or the bowl's lid, being careful not to disturb sour cream mixture.
  • Refrigerate at least 8 hours. Mix before serving
