Recipe of Healthy Food for the Liver


For liver patient to be feed at home (or yourself?) here is your reference of healthy food for the liver.

Try the following recipe on your diet, but please refer to Healthy Liver Diet page for another guidelines on running your healthy liver diet.

The first recipe contain spinach as the main ingredients. Spinach have known well as good food for the liver.



Spinach Schotel

Ingredients:

  • 250 gr potatoes
  • 75 gr un-fat milled meat
  • 20 gr baby spinach or spinach, cut into 3 cm, boiled half done
  • 1 egg yolk, stir well
  • 1 celery, chopped
  • pepper and salt
  • 2 garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp non fat frying oil
  • 1 tsp margarine

Directions:

  • Steam potatoes until perfectly tender, un-peeled, milled.
  • Saute garlic in hot oil, add milled meat, stir for a moment, turn off the heat.
  • Put potatoes on a bowl, add sauteed milled meat, yolk, spinach, margarine and celery. Mix well.
  • Put on a heat-prevent pot with thin wiped margarine on it. Bake on 180 C degree heat until done.
  • For 4 servings.

The second recipe on this healthy food for the liver section is Roasted potato with cheese. Liver patient should avoid too much fat on their food, so this can be their perfect optionn.


Roasted Potato with Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1 tbsp milk powder
  • 2 tbsp cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
    pepper and salt

Directions:

  • Steam and un-peeled potatoes.
  • Cut 1/3 part of 5 potatoes as they are hot.
  • Take out the flesh of the other parts, so it will look like a small bowl. Put aside.
  • Mill the taken out flesh with all the left potatoes. Add pepper, salt, egg and grated cheese.
  • Put this mixture on the potato bowl. Bake on 180 C degree heat until nicely browned.
  • For 5 serves
