Homemade Easy Broccoli Salad Recipe



This ingredient could be so familiar in your days and easy broccoli salad recipes listed here can be your healthy option on preparing raw vegetable on your dish. However, considering its natural fibrous to serve raw, you will need to "pre-cook" first, take some minutes to blanch before mix them in your salad bowl.

Broccoli with Orange Juice Dressing

4 cups broccoli florets
1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
3 tablespoons raisins
2 tablespoons dry roasted sunflower seeds
1/4 cup plain fat free yogurt
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoon fat-free mayonaise

Combine the brocoli, onions, raisins, and sunflower seeds.

In a small bowl, whisk the yogurt, orange juice, and mayonnaise until evenly blended.

Pour over the brocoli mixture and toss to coat.

Broccoli Salad in Red Wine Vinegar Dressing

3 cups broccoli
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
1 small onion
5 slices of bacon cooked and crumbed
1/2 cup toasted almonds

For dressing:
1 cup mayonaise
1/2 cup splenda
1/2 cup red wine vinegar

Mix all ingredients. In a salad bowl make dressing and pour over, mix and enjoy.

Note: Chilled before served for best flavour

2 heads fresh brocoli
1 red onion (optional)
1/2 pound center cut bacon
3/4 cup raisins

1/8 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup light mayonnaise
1/4 cup white sugar
2 tbsp white wine vinegar

Place bacon in a deep skillet and cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, cool and crumble.

Cut the brocoli into bite-size pieces and cut the onion into thin bite-size slices.

Combine with the bacon, raisins, almonds, and sunflower seeds. Mix well.

For dressing:
Mix mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar together until smooth.Stir into the mixture. Chill for 2-4 hours.

Broccoli Salad with Turkey Bacon

4 slices turkey bacon
1 heads fresh brocoli, chopped
3/4 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 large red onion, chopped
1/8 cup red wine vinegar
2 tsp splenda
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice

Place bacon in a large skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.

Cut bacon into very small pieces (use kitchen scissors for this. Turkey bacon does not crumble like regular bacon does)

In a large bowl, combine brocoli, cheese, bacon and onion.

In another small bowl, whisk together the red wine vinegar, sugar, pepper, salt, mayonnaise and lemon juice.

Add the dressing to the mixture. Cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
